Hi Dear AM3 friends! did you know that in old decades in Iran when there were no rings at doors they used something like you see that is called "Koubeh". and the interesting point is the shape of the two koubeh differs depend on the visitors. when a woman ring the Koubeh the sound it makes defers to the Koubeh of men. and then a woman goes to open the door. and vise versa! ;)
